Avalanches Marking Set

The bag is equipped with a system of flags to mark the avalanche, the secure retreat zone, probing areas, found objects, signals detected by avalanche victim search devices, and markings for search dog teams.

It includes vests for the operations chief, the leaders of probing waves A and B, and the medical officer. A banner designates the command post.

A loudspeaker helps direct operations, and a whistle carried by a lookout is used to raise the alarm in case of a secondary avalanche.

A snow marking powder container is included to designate the helicopter landing zone.

To organize and coordinate searches, the avalanche marking bag contains all necessary elements according to the standards recommended by the International Commission for Alpine Rescue (ICAR).
